June 11 2018 Huntington Beach,CA: Coastline Behavioral Health for Women offers access to specialized treatment programs and therapies designed to meet the unique needs of women struggling with addiction. The approach is to teach and rehabilitate as opposed to being punished and directed, while creating emotional, physical and psychological safety for clients. In addition to providing psycho-education, the program facilitates experiential activities to foster creativity and the mind-body connection. This helps clients reconnect with themselves and the identity they may have lost.

The company has a unique program designed by women for women, and believes in empowering women through values of respect, compassion, empathy and non-judgement. Dr. Serena Gupta is one of the few licensed and credentialed clinical directors and co-owners that is directly involved in the clinical and operations so there is no disconnect in the day to day oversight of the treatment program.

“The evolving landscape of our industry keeps us moving forward with our purpose to change the face of treatment. We are a ‘Wholistic’ program understanding and acknowledging that an individual’s addiction is a combination of maladaptive thoughts, behavior patterns and feelings. We understand that we are treating not only the symptom which as been identified as the addiction, but we are attempting to treat the entire individual. We understand that this also extends to their family members as well as all of the lives that have been impacted by the addicted individual,” Dr. Serena Gupta.

In a time when there are so many choices for treatment, Coastline Behavioral Health for Women is unique in the tailored care and attention each woman is provided. With Joint Commission accreditation, the company holds itself accountable to the highest level of care and treatment ethics to foster long-term, sustained sobriety.

The Latest: The new alternative facts: 'Truth isn't truth'

Aug 20, 2018

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — The Latest on President Donald Trump (all times local): 11:50 a.m. Move over, alternative facts. Now, truth isn't truth. President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani used the line Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press" with Chuck Todd. Giuliani was trying to make the case that having Trump sit down for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller's team wouldn't accomplish much because of the he-said-she-said nature of witnesses' recollections. Giuliani says it's "silly" to say Trump should testify "because he's going to tell the truth and he shouldn't worry" because "it's somebody's version of the truth....

She says they were all treated for minor injuries and released. The casino in Thackerville is about 70 miles (110 kilometers) northwest of Dallas. The casino says a storm packing winds of up to 80 mph (128 kph) struck...

When Ms. Franklin calls: Reporter reflects on Queen of Soul

Aug 20, 2018

NEW YORK — When I got the chance to interview Aretha Franklin for the first time in 2001, I was already a bundle of nerves: Even though it was just over the phone, I'd be talking to THE Queen of Soul! You could get no closer to rock 'n' roll royalty than the Queen herself. So my trepidation was magnified when a colleague told me not to expect much: Franklin was famously guarded and known for giving short, to-the-point answers and little in the way of introspection. Sure enough, when we spoke on the topic at hand — a VH1...

Ariana Grande tears up as she recalls Manchester tragedy

Aug 20, 2018

NEW YORK — The very mention of Manchester still brings Ariana Grande to tears. The singer cried during an interview Friday with Ebro for Beats 1 on Apple Music as she shared thoughts on the 2017 concert in England, when a suicide bomber killed 22 people. She said that terrorists "want you to be afraid," adding that those who just heard about it in the news had moved on. But for her and others, the challenge became just to "live in the moment" and not be overwhelmed by fear. Her album "Sweetener" includes a song for Manchester survivors, "Get Well...
