Meeraqi’s New Film Acting Workshop In Bangalore Proudly Risks Defying Convention

Meeraqi has defied convention in the film acting market with the release of its new Film Acting Workshop In Bangalore by Amit Tharwani and Raam Kumar. Further information can be found at https://meeraqi.com/film-acting-workshop-in-bangalore/.

Bangalore, India - January 12, 2018 /PressCable/ —

Earlier today, Meeraqi finally announced the beginning of its new Film Acting Workshop In Bangalore by Amit Tharwani and Raam Kumar, which has been in development since August 2017. The main aim is to help the attendees professionally in a big way by providing a list of genuine contact numbers/addresses of the casting directors in Mumbai… but it does so, with a difference.

Sudeep Bhattacharya, Director at Meeraqi, says: “We wanted to try something new with this Film Acting Workshop In Bangalore by Amit Tharwani and Raam Kumar. Anyone familiar with the film acting market will probably have noticed how everyone else seems to teach the same old cliche methods of acting. This is a problem because it does not let acting be convincing.”

So as a welcome breath of fresh air, Meeraqi will instead teach them how not to act while acting in front of a camera. Meeraqi chose to make this move because actors these days either overplay or else underplay their roles and it is this that we want to change.

Sudeep Bhattacharya also said “We want to give our customers a real insight into the most natural way to act. With our new Film Acting Workshop In Bangalore by Amit Tharwani and Raam Kumar, they have a fresh new possibility. We want them to feel they are getting something that they never got in life before they joined this workshop. Trying something new is always a risk, but it’s a risk we believe is worth taking.”

Meeraqi has been in business for for quite a long time, getting established in 2017. Since Day 1 it has always aimed at setting up an artists’ collective and creative space, which offers both professional and aspiring artists an avenue to expand their skill set, and express themselves through their chosen discipline..

This isn’t the first time Meeraqi has defied convention either. In October 2017 they caused a stir when they did Converge Festival at Meeraqi inhouse.

The new Film Acting Workshop In Bangalore At Meeraqi By Amit Tharwani & Raam Kumar is set to launch on 22nd January 2018 and end on 30th January 2018. To find out more about the workshop and Meeraqi, it’s best to visit https://meeraqi.com/film-acting-workshop-in-bangalore/.

NEW YORK — A growing number of actors are distancing themselves from Woody Allen and his next film, heightening questions about the future of the prolific 82-year-old filmmaker in a Hollywood newly sensitive to allegations of sexual misconduct. Timothee Chalamet on Tuesday said he will donate his salary for an upcoming Woody Allen film to three charities fighting sexual harassment and abuse: Time's Up, the LGBT Center in New York and RAINN. The breakout star of "Call Me By Your Name" announced on Instagram that he didn't want to profit from his work on Allen's "A Rainy Day in New...

Matt Damon apologizes for comments on sexual misconduct

Jan 16, 2018

NEW YORK — Matt Damon says the backlash for his comments on sexual misconduct was actually very helpful. A few weeks ago, Damon told The Associated Press and other outlets that there were varying degrees of misconduct and the punishment should reflect that. But he was criticized by some, including ex-girlfriend Minnie Driver. In an interview with the AP on Tuesday, Damon says he wishes he had listened more before offering his thoughts, and that he "doesn't want to further anybody's pain." He says he's sorry and adds that the feedback on his comments have been "very helpful." He adds...

Prince photographer Afshin Shahidi shares his intimate trove

Jan 16, 2018

NEW YORK — No assistants. No wardrobe or make up people. No lighting technicians. That's how Afshin Shahidi spent his most cherished moments with Prince over nearly a decade as his go-to photographer, and he included many of their more intimate encounters among 250 photos in his recent book, "Prince: A Private View." Shahidi, also known as "black-ish" and "grown-ish" actress Yara Shahidi's dad, is a Minnesota son like the superstar. He sheds light only he could provide on Prince, who died in 2016 of an accidental drug overdose. There was the time Prince made him tea after a photo...

Palmer eager for '18 after year when his wife faced cancer

Jan 16, 2018

HONOLULU — Ryan Palmer couldn't wait for 2018 to arrive. It began with an up-and-down week at the Sony Open — a 64 sandwiched between a pair of 71s, and a tie for 58th — though his mood was decidedly steadier. Palmer was in good spirits when he arrived and nothing on the scorecard was going to change that. It's nice to have last year behind him. He had surgery on his shoulder in October, and that's now healed. A new home being built on seven acres in the Dallas area is almost finished. Above all that, his wife, Jennifer,...

Prize winner Matt de la Pena has new book coming in October

Jan 16, 2018

NEW YORK — Prize-winning children's author Matt de la Pena has a new picture book planned for the fall that his publisher is calling "poignant and timely." G.P. Putnam's Books for Young Readers told The Associated Press on Tuesday that de la Pena's "Carmela Full of Wishes," a collaboration with illustrator Christian Robinson, tells the story of a young "Dreamer" who lives in a migrant community "steeped" in Mexican culture. The book is scheduled for Oct. 9. "In a time when we openly speak of building walls," de la Pena said in a statement, "I was moved to tell the...
