She is the Medical Director of Inova Cares Clinic for Women and the Lead Hospitalist for the Department of OB-GYN, a position she has held since 2008. She has a special interest in the management of general OB-GYN as well as minimally invasive gynecology and pediatric gynecology. Her research included the uses of ultrasound in gynecology, prevention of postpartum hemorrhage, and preimplantation diagnosis.

An Egypt native, Dr. Ebeid earned her medical degree from the Kasr Al Ainy School of Medicine in Cairo in 1996 and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Kasr Al Ainy Hospital in 1999. After relocating to the United States, she completed an additional residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women's health.
Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system - vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
